POST TITLE                  Domiciliary Care Worker

RESPONSIBLE TO        Operations Manager

 

 

MAIN PURPOSES

To undertake the duties of a domiciliary care worker as dictated by the service users individual service delivery plan ensuring that privacy, dignity, choice and self-esteem are maintained at all times.

 

To carry out care tasks in accordance with social care codes of practice and company policies to ensure the delivery of a sensitive and efficient service that enhances the quality of a service user's life.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To have a positive approach and understanding of person centred care

 

To encourage and support service users to be as independent as possible as dictated by the service delivery plan

 

To contribute to accurate and detailed record keeping at the service user's home in accordance with the Confidentiality policy

 

To liaise with service users relatives, GP and other health and social care professionals under the guidance

 

To monitor changes in the service user's physical, emotional and mental health and well-being and report concerns to the Care Manager

 

To contribute to the updating of the service users individual service delivery plan and take part in any re-assessment of needs

 

To ensure that accurate and detailed records of any financial transactions made on behalf of the service user are maintained

 

To be aware of the service users social, cultural and spiritual needs and to ensure that these needs are met to the service user's satisfaction

 

To attending regular supervision with the Team Leader

 

To attend regular team meetings

 

To attend training courses in order to meet the requirements of the post

 

To undertake any other additional duties of a similar level and responsibility as and when required by the Operations Manager or any other senior member from the company
